Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the hand's feeling from being deteriorated when a valve clearance is measured by providing a hole in which a jig for lifting a piston for pressing a rocker arm is loosely inserted on the upper end surface of a cylinder of a lost motion assembly.
CONSTITUTION: A thread part 52b on the tip of a shaft 52a of a piston lifting jig 52 is inserted from a respiration hole 26a of a cylinder 26 of a lost motion assembly 25, so as to be screwed into a threaded hole 27b. And then, a measuring person lifts the jig 52 upward to lift the piston 27. Thereby the tip 27a of the piston 27 is separated from a claw 6d of a low speed rocker arm 6, and pressing force to a low speed cam 14 of a roller bearing 19 is released. A clearance gauge 51 is inserted into the clearance between the low speed cam 14 and the roller bearing 10 in this state, so as to measure the valve clearance. Thus, hand's feeling is prevented from being deteriorated when the valve clearance is measured by the clearance gauge.
