Abstract:
To provide a sliding material which has a lower pH than the conventional ones and is composed of a porous carbon material obtained by firing a mixture of bran and a thermosetting resin.
The low alkali sliding material is composed of a porous carbon material having a pH of 8-10 and obtained by firing a mixture of bran and a resol-type phenolic resin substantially free of residual metal components.
