PURPOSE: To make fitting work for connectors surely performable even in a narrow space with small force by fitting projection and recess types of housing together, and pulling a pair of sliders attached to one side of the housings nearer to each other.
CONSTITUTION: Grooves 19∼21 of a slider 3 are inserted into guide rails 11, 12 and a holding rail 13 from the side of an opening 14a of a slot 14 of a recess type housing 1 and attached to an interval between projections 15, 16 at both sides in advance. Then, a projection type housing 2 is inserted into the housing 1, and when a cam follower 22 of the slider 3 is thrust in up to an inlet part 27a of a cam track 27, these housings 1, 2 are locked by locking means 31, 32. Next, each handle 18 of a pair of sliders 3 is moved to the center so as to pull it nearer with fingers. With this constitution, the housing 2 comes nearer to the housing 1 by the cam track 27 being engaged with the follower 22, so that they are fittable to each other even in a narrow space with small force.
