PURPOSE: To obtain fried tasty food of low calorie, containing edible fibers with dieting effect and constipation improvement, by adding fungi belonging to Auricularia or Tremellales.
CONSTITUTION: Fruit bodies of a fungus in Tremellales such as Tremella fuciformis Brerk (SHIROKIKURAGE) or in Auricularia such as Dacryomyces aurantius Farlow (AKAKIKURAGE) are preferably dried, and fried to give a fried food product which has dieting effect and constipation improvement. Or the dried fruit bodies or the essence extracted with water or alcohol are mixed with the dough for biscuits, cookies, SENBEI (roasted rice crackers) or ARARE-MOCHI (rice cake pellets) to give biscuits, cookies, SENBEI or ARARE-MOCHI having dieting effect and constipation improvement. In addition, beverage having dieting effect and constipation improvement can be prepared in the same manner.
