Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for electrical discharge machining that is consumed less than before, can acquire excellent speed of electric discharge machining and has low-content of refractory metal particle.SOLUTION: An electrode for electrical discharge machining that contains copper and refractory metal particle as the principal component is dispersed with a low-melting point alloy and a carbon fiber material to stabilize electrical discharge and exerts protective effect at an electrode surface. Consumption of the electrode and machining speed are improved depending on a particle size of the refractory metal particle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
