This low density paper contains foamed particles homogeneously dispersed and held in a pulp fiber layer containing curled fibers. The curled fibers are contained in an amount of ≥10 wt.% and ≤90 wt.% based on the total fiber weight, and the foamed particles are composed of foamed body of heat expandable microcapsules, and the foamed particles are added in an amount of ≥1 wt.% and ≤20 wt.% based on the total weight of the fibers including the curled fibers.
