Abstract:
To provide a lubricant composition which gives excellent corrosion inhibitory performance and contains low sulfur, low ash and low phosphorus.
The low exhaust emission diesel lubricant composition comprises as the components a major amount of a base oil with lubricating viscosity, a hydroxyaromatic surfactant-based detergent-dispersant additive containing a free hydrocarbyl phenol of less than 40 wt.%, a dispersant and a wear-preventing agent, with containing ash of about 0 wt.% to about 1.2 wt.%, sulfur of about 0.1 wt.% to about 0.5 wt.% and phosphorus of about 0.02 wt.% to about 0.1 wt.%.
