Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic valve assembly attaching a lower housing part to a bonnet at a desired direction, and preventing process fluid from being in contact with the lower housing material even in a failure of a diaphragm of an actuator.
SOLUTION: This low external form pneumatic valve assembly 10 is formed of the pneumatic actuator 12, the bonnet 21, and a narrow and long hollow member arranged in the pneumatic actuator. The hollow member is a bushing 56 having first and second flanges 61 and 62 and a screwed part 63 extending downward from the flange. The screwed part 63 is threadedly engaged with a corresponding screwed part 50 of the bonnet so as to fix the lower housing part 16 to the bonnet 21. Two tubs 49 provided around the outer circumference of the bonnet 21 are engaged with grooves 34 in the lower housing part 16 of the actuator. The grooves 34 are provided at intervals of 90° or 180° and the engagement between the tubs 49 and the selected grooves 34 can change the position of a vent hole 46 in the bonnet.
