Title:
LOW-GAIN RANGE PROGRAMMABLE TEMPERATURE-COMPENSATING TYPE VOLTAGE-CONTROLLED OSCILLATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06209260
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a voltage controlled oscillator which is less affected by the fluctuation of an input voltage signal and has plural low gain frequency ranges and generates an oscillator signal with a frequency fixed against the change of the ambient temperature. CONSTITUTION: A VGS and VSW generation circuit 310 electrically connected to three equivalent oscillator stages 318, 320, and 322 generates a gate-to-source voltage VGS and a switch voltage VSW in response to range selection signals RSO to RSS4. For the purpose of generating the oscillator signal, a variable resistance value is used to form each low gain range. For this oscillator signal, a small current source is used which supplies a certain current through the variable resistance and is practically independent of temperature, and a current is used which sucks and supplies an additional current to oscillators at the time of the rise and the fall of temperature respectively and is changed by temperature.
