Abstract:
To obtain a low hardness roller for electrophotography which has low hardness and small compressive permanent strain and which does not cause contamination of a photoreceptor.
The low hardness roller for electrophotography has a polyurethane elastic layer concentrically formed around a metal rotating shaft. The polyurethane is prepared by the reaction of isoboron diisocyanate and isoprene polyol in the range of 0.9 to 1.2 isocyanate index.
