Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eccentric butterfly valve causing little cavitation at a valve contraction flow section, suppressing noise, reducing the change quantity of the Cv value per shift quantity of valve opening, improving controllability, having a seal structure easily designed by an existing technique, usable even at a high temperature, and manufactured at a minimum manufacturing cost.
SOLUTION: The outer diameter of a valve element and the inner diameter of a valve seat are set to 0.8 times the inner diameter D of a pipe or below, and the inner diameter of a body portion directly behind the valve seat is set to nearly the same size as the inner diameter of the pipe. A plurality of projections having the same height are provided on the orifice side surface of the valve element, and a plurality of projections smaller than the orifice side projections are provided on the nozzle side surface of the valve element.
