Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a low noise output control method of a vehicle by which quietness of the vehicle can be ensured without worsening a feeling of running required by a driver.

CONSTITUTION: In the case of obtaining a predetermined running condition of a vehicle, a low noise output control method prepares a low noise mode map is prepared for expressing combination of a control throttle opening and control speed change ratio which most decreases a noise of an internal combustion engine. Accordingly, in this method, an estimated running condition, expected for a vehicle, is obtained from the present car speed and an amount of stepping in a accelerator pedal, and based on this estimated running condition, the control throttle opening and the control speed change ratio are obtained from the above-mentioned low noise mode map so as to control the actual throttle opening and actual speed change ratio of a continuously variable transmission with these control throttle opening and control speed change ratio serving as the target throttle opening and target speed change ratio.
