Abstract:

PURPOSE: To solve a noise problem in the case of traveling a vehicle at a high speed by suppressing aerodynamic sound generated from a pantograph.
CONSTITUTION: A low noise type pantograph 30 comprises a pan 40 in contact with a trolley wire while applying a pressing force, a wing-shaped current collecting shoe 50 for holding the pan 40 in a recess through a torsion arm 55, and a wing-shaped support member 60 for holding the shoe 50 at a ceiling of the vehicle, and is arranged on a region except a speed intermittent region of a turbulent flow boundary layer formed around the vehicle.
