To provide a coating for use in a weather-strip, a wiper on a windshield, a door sealant, a trunk sealant, a sunroof sealant, a windscreen sealant and a trim in a vehicle.
The coating comprises a water-based compound to give the low noisiness and, most suitably, to give the good weatherability and wear resistance. The low noisiness can be achieved by a combination of a wax and/or an aqueous colloidal silica and of a high-molecular-weight silicone resin. The flexibility and weatherability can be achieved by the addition of a polyurethane/fluoropolymer resin binder blend, a UV-stabilizer and an absorbent. The method for manufacturing such a coating provided comprises a process for dispersing previously wax particles in a common solvent and a wetting agent and thereafter, a process for combining the previously dispersed wax particles with a silicone resin and the other components.
