Abstract:

To provide a radiant tube burner which does not generate a large thermal stress in a radiant tube, while maintaining low-NOX combustion.

The present regenerative type radiant tube burner comprises the radiant tube 2 and a pair of burner main bodies 1 fitted to the opposite ends of the radiant tube 2. Each burner main body 1 has a passage 10 for air for combustion and combustion exhaust gas, a regenerative body 13 provided in the passage 10, an opening 11 communicating with the radiant tube 2 from the passage 10, functioning as a combustion air jet port in combustion and operating as a combustion exhaust gas intake port in heat accumulation and a fuel gas jet port 12. The fuel gas jet port 12 is provided at the axial position of the radiant tube 2, while the opening 11 is provided eccentrically in the radial direction from the axis of the radiant tube 2. In the burner thus constituted, a collision plate 16 facilitating diffusion of the combustion exhaust gas and the fuel gas is provided at the fore end of the fuel gas jet port 12.
