To provide a low μ pavement road surface and its construction method capable of reducing construction cost and maintenance cost.
This low μ pavement road surface is composed of an asphalt mixture layer having an upper layer part of a porous layer, and an intermediate-lower layer part of a dense layer, provided by compacting an asphalt mixture in one layer by including an aggregate having the particle size of 13 to 5 mm by 50 to 75%, an aggregate having the particle size of 5 to 2.5 mm by 5 to 25%, sand having the particle size of 2.5 mm to 75 μm by 5 to 20%, and a filler having the particle size of 75 μm or less by 8 to 13%, in the weight ratio in aggregate blending as an aggregate; and constitutes a part or the whole of the aggregate out of limestone and/or gravel.
