Title:
LOW-PRESSURE MERCURY VAPOR DISCHARGE LAMP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3275797
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-pressure mercury vapor discharge lamp, wherein temperature of amalgam is regulated to a proper value and emission efficiency can be improved.
SOLUTION: This low-pressure mercury vapor discharge lamp comprises a fluorescent tube 1 of flexed shape, a holder 2 for holding both end parts of this fluorescent tube 1, a lighting circuit 3 for lighting the fluorescent tube 1, a resin case 4 for storing the lighting circuit 3, a metal-made base 5 provided in the resin case 4, and a globe 7 for storing the fluorescent tube 1 held by the holder 2 to constitute an envelope 6 with the resin case 4. In a fine tube which is an amalgam storage part 8 in an end part of the fluorescent tube 1, amalgam 9 which controls mercury vapor pressure in the fluorescent tube 1, when it is normally lighted, is sealed. An outer surface of the fine tube sealed with the amalgam 9 and an inner side screw part of the base 5 are connected with a heat conduction member 10.
