Abstract:
To provide an alternative structure of circuit breaker based on low profile design, while reducing possibility of corrosion or deposit which causes blockage of electrical communication between contacts.SOLUTION: A circuit breaker 100 includes a fixed contact 104, and a movable contact arm assembly 108 on which a movable contact 106 is placed, and also includes an overcurrent trip device coupled to the movable contact arm assembly via a link mechanism assembly 122, and making the movable contact move into physically noncontact state with the fixed contact. The movable contact arm assembly is connected with the link mechanism assembly via at least two pivots 124, 126 placed in the contact arm assembly, so that wiping action for cleaning the movable contact and the fixed contact is triggered by creating relative sliding action between the movable contact and the fixed contact when they move into contact state or noncontact state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
