Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ring binder mechanism for holding a loose-leaf page.SOLUTION: A ring binder mechanism includes a slender housing 111, first and second hinge plates 113, at least one ring 115 for holding a loose-leaf page, and an actuator mounted on the housing. Each ring includes a first ring member and a second ring member. The first ring member is so mounted onto the first hinge plate as to move together with the hinge plate between a closed position and an open position with respect to the housing. The first hinge plate has a first hinge member, and the second hinge plate has a second hinge member. The hinge members are disposed at a distance same as or less than a maximum distance between an upper part surface and a center plane. The actuator is so mounted on the housing as to be rotationally transferred with respect to the housing so that the rings are moved from the closed positions to the open positions thereof.
