Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a compd. which reduces malodor released by a molding not only during but also after vulcanization.
CONSTITUTION: A magnesium silicate hydrate clay mineral is compounded as an evaporation inhibitor of malodorous components into a rubber compd. which contains sufficient amts. of such chemicals that they, separately or synergistically, give off malodorous components in an amt. higher than the threshold value when thermally decomposed or evaporated in vulcanization.
