Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make negative pressures in an idle fuel injection nozzle and a low speed fuel injection nozzle equal to each other and to prevent the occurrence of back bleed of intake air from the low speed fuel injection nozzle to the idle fuel injection nozzle.

CONSTITUTION: Low speed fuel injection nozzles 24 and 25 are opened to the closed position of the butterfly type throttle valve 7 of an intake air passage 10 and an idle fuel injection nozzle 36 is opened to a part situated downstream from the throttle valve 7. A constant pressure fuel chamber 14 is communicated with the low speed fuel injection nozzles 24 and 25 and the idle fuel injection nozzle 36 through independent low speed fuel passages 22 and 34. A low speed fuel chamber 23 is arranged in the low speed fuel passage 22 through which the constant pressure fuel chamber 14 and the low speed fuel injection nozzles 34 and 25 are intercommunicated. An idle fuel regulation needle valve 32 is arranged in the low speed fuel passage 34 through which the constant pressure fuel chamber 14 and the idle fuel injection nozzle 36 are intercommunicated. A communication passage 35 through which the low speed fuel chamber 23 and the part on the outlet side of the idle fuel regulation needle valve 32 are intercommunicated is provided.
