PURPOSE: To provide a durable refrigerator in which an opening or closing of a pressure adjusting port can be surely performed by an operation of a handle.

CONSTITUTION: In a refrigerator in which a handle 13 is rotatably attached to a lock axle 4 arranged at a front surface of a heat insulation door 1, a pressure adjusting port passing through the insulation door 1 is arranged near an engaging metal fitting 16 for use in fixing the handle 13, there is provided a pressure-adjusting port opening or closing means for interlocking with the rotation of the handle 13 and releasing the pressure adjusting port, the pressure adjusting port opening or closing means is formed with a pressure adjusting port opening or closing lid 20 having a chevron-shape, and when the handle 13 is engaged with the engaging metal fitting 16, the pressure adjusting port is closed by the closing part of the pressure adjusting port opening or closing lid 20. And then, when the handle 13 is contacted with the operating part of the pressure adjusting port opening or closing lid 20, the closing part is moved away from the pressure adjusting port so as to release the pressure adjusting port.
