Abstract:

To provide a low-temp. brazing method for an aluminum die cast material capable of forming a defectless joint in spite of in-furnace brazing.

In the method for in-furnace brazing of the aluminum die cast material at ≤500°C, a Zn-Al based alloy brazing filler metal and a flux mixture composed of oxide-fluoride or a fluoride based flux mixture is used and heating up is executed from the solidus temp. of the Zn-Al based alloy brazing filler metal up to the max. heating temp. at a rate of ≤15°C/min. The aluminum die cast material is preferably subjected to shot blasting in a desired brazing position.
