Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a low-temperature fluidity improver for heavy fuel oil A excellent in improving effects on the cloud filter plugging point(CFP) and the pour point correlated with low temperature characteristics under actual service conditions of the heavy fuel oil A.
SOLUTION: This improver comprises an A-(B-A)n type or an (A-B)n+1 type block copolymer [(n) is an integer of ≥1] composed of (A) a block comprising an aromatic vinyl compound unit and (B) a block comprising a diene compound unit or its hydrogenated substance or (a) 1-99 wt.% of the block copolymer or its hydrogenated substance and (b) 99-1 wt.% of a compound containing a polyoxyalkylene glycol part and a chain alkyl part as essential constituent parts.
