To secure a space for clerk which is comfortable even when it is continuously arranged to a register counter.
A showcase comprises a showcase body to store commodities, a compressor 12 installed in a machine chamber 9, a condenser 10, an evaporator 5, a condenser fan 11, etc., and is provided with a cooling device to cool and keep the commodities in the showcase body, and is continuously arranged to a register counter so that one side of the showcase body is continuous to a side surface of the register counter on a passage side. The hot air to be supplied by the condenser fan 11 is discharged diagonally upward from a first outlet 13a by an exhaust duct 13. In addition, a second outlet 13b to be opened/closed by a switching plate 13c is provided on a lower part of the exhaust duct 13, and the hot air is supplied to a space for clerk at the side of the register counter. The direction of the hot air to be discharged from the machine chamber 9 is switched in the direction of the space of the clerk or upward.
