To provide the cold storage facility capable of increasing a volume ratio of a storage to the whole building, reducing the construction cost by minimizing the use of chemical products, easily adjusting a temperature in the storage, preventing the generation of fungus at a low temperature by natural circulation of the cold air, and preventing stored matters from being affected by the reaggregation of the molten water.
This cold storage facility is a building 1 comprising a concrete bottom plate 2 and both side plates 3, a semi-cylindrical roof part 4 composed of a half body of a metallic tube integrally mounted over both side plates 3, and outer walls 5, 6 covering longitudinal both sides. The building 1 excluding the front outer wall 5 used as an inlet and outlet port, is covered by cover soil 7, after the roof part 4 is constructed, whereby the building 1 is buried in the ground, and the cover soil 7 is frozen by circulating a refrigerant to an underground cooling pipe 13 arranged around the building 1 in advance.
