In this low-temperature storage unit equipped with the silo part having the sidewall jacket 10 mounted to the sidewall of the cylindrical silo made of a structural material, the conical lower jacket 20 that has the output port at the bottom and line lid jacket 30 that has the feeding inlet at the head, the sidewall thermometer 42 mounted to the sidewall of the sidewall jacket and a pump for feeding a coolant to the sidewall jacket and the lower jacket, the maximum temperature is selected from the temperature reads of the center thermometer 44 set toward the center axis of the silo, the lid jacket thermometer 46 mounted to the inside of the silo of the lid jacket and these sidewall thermometers inside the selected temperature is regarded as the observed temperature of the silo and the pumping means are controlled by the controlling means 72 so that the read of the maximum temperature extraction part may become the setting temperature.
