To provide a simple and inexpensive low temperature storage capable of positively and securely preserving housed objects of an interior, in a low temperature storage preserving rice, vegetables, or the like.
The low temperature storage is comprised of a storage chamber 2 and a cooling unit 7 arranged on a top face of the storage chamber 2. The cooling unit 7 is composed of a cooling chamber 13 having in an heat insulating body 9 interior, a cooler 10, a blower 11 for the cooler, a drain pan 12, a cold air suction opening 14, and a cold air blowout opening 15, and a machine chamber 8 adjacent to the cooling chamber 13. By providing internal ducts 6 for the cold air suction opening and for the cold air blowout opening of the cooling unit 7 in the storage chamber 2, dripping of drain water into the storage chamber is prevented by an inexpensive and simple structure without increasing dead space in the storage chamber.
