Title:
LOW TEMPERATURE TRANSPORTATION OF MEAT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5611746
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the deterioration of freshness and explosion of a refrigerator in transporting meat, e.g. beef, with a container at a low temperature, by filling the refrigerator with oxygen utilizing the cooling power of a vaporized mixture liquid of oxygen with nitrogen in a specific proportion.

CONSTITUTION: A mixture liquid of 5W15% liquid oxygen with the rest liquid nitrogen is injected into a refrigerator, and the proportion of the liquid oxygen in the remaining liquid increases as the amount of the remaining liquid decreases. However, the absolute amount of the remaining liquid is small, and the absolute amount of the liquid oxygen is small. If the small amount of the remaining liquid is gasified, the oxygen concentration in the refrigerator does not increase to higher than that in the composition of air. Thus, the mixture liquid of 5W15% liquid oxygen permits the cooling of the refrigerator and the retention of the meat in a red state without increasing the oxygen concentration to higher than that is air.
