A tip end of a suction pipe strainer 1 is faced downward, arranging legs 2, 5 are disposed on both end parts thereof, an intake cutout part is arranged between legs 2, 5 and a strainer net 6 is disposed on a bottom part. A turning two-way part 3 is disposed facing from a lower side upward, a suction pipe attaching screw part 9 is arranged on the tip end of the turning two-way part 3, and an O-ring for sucking twist of a water suction pipe 13 and a ball 11 are disposed. In the case where the water suction pipe 13 of a fire pump 14 is taken into water, an suction pipe rope 12 is attached to the turning two-way part 3 after the intake pipe strainer 1 is attached to the tip end of the water suction pipe 13. It is thus possible to surely suck, for example, water positioned just under from an upper position on a bridge even at a low water level.
