Abstract:
To provide a device which prevents damage of lower limb joints and wear of joint interstitial tissues such as cartilage during exercises giving pressures to the legs such as jogging and does not interfere with motions of the lower limbs.SOLUTION: The lower limb joint buffer uses a support rod to fix the thigh, the calves, and the heel, and be joined with a joint connection shaft, the entire device is integrated and all the lower limb joints can be supported. When brake is performed on rotation of the joint connection shaft, the support rod of all the device cannot rotate but weights of the thigh and the upper part of the body are supported by a part from a heel fixing part to a thigh support rod like a chair, and a force given to the lower limb joints is reduced. The sensor is used to detect and measure a motion state, a magnetic force on magnetic fluid (MRF) that is a buffer material of shaft rotation is adjusted by the motion state to adjust a resistance force of MRF in a short time, and brake is performed only when it is necessary for the joint shaft.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
