Abstract:

To provide a device for controlling engine load by controlling a change gear ratio of a continuously variable transmission.

This device includes a continuously variable transmission driven by an engine. The device comprises an engine speed sensor 80 that detects output speed of an engine and generates an engine speed signal indicating the output speed of the engine 12, and an engine speed sensor 76 that detects machine running speed and generates a running speed signal indicating the machine running speed. Additionally, the device comprises an electronic control device that compares the engine speed signal with a lower-limit speed value, generates an integral error signal indicating a difference between the engine speed signal with the lower-limit speed value, provides an integral gain value based on the running speed of a machine, changes an integral error signal via a proportional/integral feedback control device in order to generate a lower- limit speed request signal, and can operate to generate a command signal based on the lower-limit speed request signal. The command signal is used for controlling a change gear ratio of the continuously variable transmission 16 in order to control an engine load.
