Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make it possible to navigate a ship with a lower noise, by calculating and indicating the propeller rotating speed and the angle of a propeller wing, with which the sound pressure level of underwater noise is lowered to the minimum, accord ing to the searched sound pressure spectrum and data of the sailing condition. CONSTITUTION:A data collecting part B constituted of a data collecting equipment 1, a data analyzing equipment 2 and a data recording equipment 3, a data processing part C constituted of a preset data input equipment 5, a data searching equipment 6, an operation equipment 7 and an indicator 8, and a control part A adapted to control the actions of these equipments, are equipped. The optimum propeller rotating speed and the optimum angle of a propeller wing, with which the sound pressure level of underwater noise lowered to the minimum, within the range of the preset input sailing speed and the towing force, are calculated by such as a interpolative method, according to the searched sound pressure spectrum and data of the sailing condition. Then, this data and the sound pressure level at this time, are indicated to inform a steersman. Accordingly, underwater noise can be lowered, and a ship can be navigated with a lower noise.
