PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition composed mainly of a nonaqueous dispersion resin composition hitherto difficult to aerosolize and having such features that it has good shelf stability, keeps good environment in coating is lowly odoriferous), scarcely causes environmental pollution (is photochemically inert), and scarcely catches fire (is a nonhazardous material).
CONSTITUTION: This coating composition consists of a stock solution composition for an aerosol coating material, composed mainly of a nonaqueous dispersion resin composition obtained by using as the principal solvent component an aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent containing at most 1vol.% aromatic hydrocarbon, and a propellant exhibiting a solubility parameter approximate to that of the aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent, preferably 6 to 8.5.
