PURPOSE: To provide an LP gas charging device of such constitution as to perform the direction and position alignment and connection/disconnection of a gas charging port in relation to a gas charging nozzle automatically and smoothly only by placing a gas cylinder, measured by an electronic scale, on a cylinder placing part.

CONSTITUTION: An elevating body 12 elevated by an elevating drive part 11 according to the height of a gas cylinder is disposed at a frame 10 disposed at the side part of a cylinder placing part 6 for positioning and placing the gas cylinder for charging the specified quantity of gas on the basis of the measured value measured by an electronic scale. A charging nozzle 14 advanced and docked with the gas charging port of the gas cylinder by an advancing- retreating drive part to charge gas is disposed in the horizontally movable state at the elevating body 12. Charging port direction correcting mechanism 15 for aligning the direction and position of the gas charging port of the gas cylinder, placed on the cylinder placing part 6, in relation to the gas charging nozzle 14, and valve opening/closing mechanism 16 for opening/closiong a rotary valve protruded at the upper end of the gas charging port of the cylinder are also disposed at the elevating body 12.
