To provide an LPG residual quantity detection device capable of detecting accurately the residual quantity of LPG filled in a container.
When the liquid level of the LPG in the container C is higher than the height Hp of a tip opening part 8 of an output pipe 7, each detection value from the first temperature sensor 10 and the second temperature sensor 11 shows approximately the same value. On the contrary, when the liquid level of the LPG is lowered below the height Hp of the tip opening part 8 of the output pipe 7, a surface part of LPG in the liquid state starts to vaporize, and a temperature of a gas portion positioned over the liquid surface in the container C is lowered suddenly, and the detection value from the first temperature sensor 9 is lowered suddenly in company therewith. When a difference between the detection value from the first temperature sensor 9 and the detection value from the second temperature sensor 10 exceeds a prescribed value, a determination part 12 determines that the liquid level of the LPG is lowered below the height Hp, and issues an alarm from an alarm part 13.
