To eliminate such problems with an LSI that, when an incorporated hard block falls into an abnormal state, all hard blocks must be reset or a dedicated abnormality recovery circuit must be provided to recover from the abnormal state and it is difficult to individually reset the plurality of hard blocks incorporated in the LSI.

When a CPU part 101 determines that the operation of the LSI is abnormal, a return control part 103 acquires the internal state of the LSI by using a scan control part 104, obtains a correction method from a correction pattern storage part 104, and corrects the acquired scan data. The reset control part 103 returns the corrected data to an original circuit to recover from the abnormal state.
