To provide a lubricant applicator and a lubricant applying method for application of a lubricant, in more detail, for pulling up an application object dipped in a solution of the lubricant through a vapor layer volatilizing from a solvent without being affected by a disturbance of outside air.

The lubricant applicator includes a dipping vessel and a lifting mechanism. An upper part of a liquid surface of the solution in the dipping vessel is covered by a cover and an aperture part through which the lifting mechanism suspending the application object is passes is formed in the cover. An enclosure erected from the aperture part and having a prescribed height is formed so that the vapor layer volatilizing from the solution in the enclosure is not affected by the disturbance of outside air.
