PURPOSE: A lubricant with excellent lubricating performance suitable for a ball joint constituted of an alloy ball stud and a synthetic resin ball seat, which is obtd. by compounding "Duomeen T" dioleate used as a base oil with a specified diamide compd.
CONSTITUTION: "Duomeen T" dioleate of farmula II (wherein R' is a hydrocarbon residue of oleic acid) obtd. by the reaction of 1mol of "Duomeen T" of formula I (wherein R is a hydrocarbon residue of tallow fatty acid) with 2mol of oleic acid is used as a base oil. It is compounded with 5W30wt% diamide compd. of formula III (wherein R1 is 2W4C alkylene; R2; is 14W16C alkyl or alkeny) to prepare the purpose lubricant for a ball joint. Ethylenebisoleyldiamide is a pref. example of the diamide compd. of the formula III.
