Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating base oil exhibiting a low vapor pressure even with a low viscosity, no risk of ignition, an excellent heat resistance, less metal corrosion behavior at high temperatures and an excellent low-temperature fluidity.SOLUTION: A lubricating base oil includes at least one of ionic liquids comprising compounds represented by the formula (1): ZA, where Zrepresents a cation and Arepresents an anion, in which Zis a cyclic quaternary ammonium ion having two different side chains and Ais a conjugated amide ion.
