Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing lubricant base oil that can produce GTL base oil having a good low temperature viscosity property, with high yield, and to provide a lubricant base oil produced by said production method.SOLUTION: The method for producing lubricant base oil includes: a first step to obtain an isomerized oil by using a synthetic wax produced by gas-to-liquid process, or a lube oil fraction separated from the synthetic wax, as raw material and carrying out a treatment to isomerize the normal paraffin contained in the raw material to isoparaffin; and a second step to carry out an urea-dewaxing treatment to isomerized oil and obtain a lubricant base oil whose cloud point is less than -5°C.
