Abstract:

To maintain low friction of a lubricant composition even when an easily evaporable base oil is used for lowered viscosity.SOLUTION: A lubricant composition for internal combustion engines contains (A) a lubricant base oil that contains at least one mineral base oil and has a kinematic viscosity of 2.0 mm2/s or more and 4.3 mm2/s or less at 100°C, and (B) a metal sanitizer containing calcium borate, the content of which is 500 mass ppm or more and less than 1500 mass ppm in terms of the calcium amount relative to the total amount of the composition. The evaporation rate is 10 mass% or more and 40 mass% or less, determined by the NOACK method (250°C, 1h). The viscosity index is 140 or more and 350 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
