To provide a lubricant composition suitable for use in engines fueled by gasoline or biorenewable fuels or both.

The lubricant composition contains (a) an oil of lubricating viscosity, and (b) a dispersant system comprising at least one dispersant selected from the group consisting of hydrocarbyl-substituted succinimides, hydrocarbyl-substituted amines, and Mannich base adducts derived from a hydrocarbyl-substituted phenol condensed with an aldehyde and an amine. The lubricant composition is suitable for use in engines fueled by gasoline or biorenewable fuels or both and forms a stable emulsion in comparison with a lubricant composition containing no dispersant.
