Abstract:
To provide a lubricant composition having excellent fuel saving properties and low temperature viscosity properties while maintaining a moderate high temperature shear viscosity even if the viscosity is lowered and to provide a lubricant composition for an internal combustion engine as a suitable example and more preferably a lubricant composition for a diesel engine.SOLUTION: There is provided a lubricant composition comprising (A) a lubricant base oil, (B) a viscosity index improver and (C) an organic friction adjusting agent, wherein the lubricant base oil (A) has a kinematic viscosity at 100°C of 2.0 to 10.0 mm2/s and the lubricant composition has a kinematic viscosity at 100°C of 6.9 mm2/s or more and less than 9.3 mm2/s, a CCS viscosity at -35°C of 6.2 Pa s or less and a high temperature high shear viscosity (HTHS viscosity) at 150°C of 2.6 mPa s or more.SELECTED DRAWING: None
