Abstract:
To provide a lubricant composition that contains an oil-based friction modifier, having improved friction reducing performance in the lubrication of a gear.SOLUTION: A lubricant composition contains: (A) a lubricant base oil that contains one or more mineral base oils, one or more synthetic base oils, or a combination thereof, while having a kinematic viscosity at 40°C of 40 mm2/s or less; and (B) a partial ester of (b1) one or more unsaturated monovalent fatty acids having 6 to 36 carbon atoms and (b2) one or more glycerol oligomers having a polymerization degree of 2 to 10 in an amount of 0.05-2.5 mass% based on the total amount of the composition.SELECTED DRAWING: None
