Abstract:
Lubricating-oil compositions, characterized in that they comprisea) one or more lubricating oils,b) one or more basic salts of polyvalent metals and naphthenic acids, andc) one or more polyesters or salts thereof, which are either derived from one or more hydroxycarboxylic acids of the general formula HO-X-COOH, wherein X represents a bivalent saturated or unsaturated aliphatic radical containing at least 8 carbon atoms with at least 4 carbon atoms being situated between the hydroxyl group and the carboxyl group, or derived from a mixture of one or more such hydroxycarboxylic acids and one or more carboxylic acids containing no hydroxyl groups.
