To obtain the subject lubricant that can inhibit the tablets from capping, sticking and binding, when tablets and table cakes are formed, by using a specific vegetable fat and oil powder.
This lubricant is prepared by adding (A) protein and (B) saccharide (C) vegetable fat and oil and pulverizing the mixture into particles, preferably fine particles with an average particle size of ≤250 μm. In a preferred embodiment, the lubricant is produced by formulating the components (A), (B) and (C) into an emulsion and spray-drying the emulsion. As a component A, are cited the coconut oil from copra, palm oil collected from the fruit flesh and palm kernel oil collected from the fruit kernel and the amounts of the components B and C are 8-12 pts.wt., and 30-40 parts per 100 pts.wt. of the component (A), respectively.
