PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grease or solid lubricant and a rolling bearing for food machinery encapsulating them, wherein the grease or solid lubricant can be used as a lubricant for the rolling bearing for food machinery, has high safety to a human body, is excellent in heat resistance, and can realize a long bearing life.SOLUTION: A rolling bearing 1 comprises: an inner ring 2 and an outer ring 3 arranged concentrically, and a plurality of rolling elements 4 arranged between the inner ring and the outer ring, wherein the rolling element 4 has a grease 7 encapsulated around the rolling element, the grease 7 contains a base oil containing a coconut oil as a main component and a thickener containing stearic acid as the main component, in particular, the base oil is consists of a coconut oil only, and the thickener consists of stearic acid only.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
