Abstract:
To provide a novel lubricant for warm or hot forging that is non-graphite-based that is excellent in terms of work environment and does not cause problems such as facility failure and increase in facility maintenance man-hours.SOLUTION: The lubricant for warm or hot forging comprises: (a) at least one lubricating component selected from a group consisting of an alkali metal salt of low molecular weight carboxylic acid, an alkaline earth metal salt of low molecular weight carboxylic acid, and an ammonium salt of low molecular weight carboxylic acid, (b-1) benzotriazole, and (c) water, wherein a content of (b-1) benzotriazole is 0.1 pts.mass or more to 8 pts.mass or less when the total mass of all components contained in the lubricant for warm or hot forging is 100 pts.mass.SELECTED DRAWING: None
