PURPOSE: To provide a lubricating chromating composition for forming a safe chromate coating film, which is excellent in corrosion resistance and adhesiveness in coating, on a metallic material and a treating method using the same.
CONSTITUTION: A treating solution containing a water-based emulsion, made by emulsifying a lubricating agent component containing wax or a fluorine containing organic compound with an emulsifying agent containing a nonionic- anionic surfactant having a combined hydrophilic group having a nonionic part and anionic part containing at least a member selected from a polyethylene glycol group and an ≥2 ethylene oxide addition polymerizing group, and hexavalent chromium ion, trivalent chromium ion and a silica component and having pH <3.0 is prepared and applied on the surface of the metallic material and dried to form a lubricating chromate coating film.
